This short story is a futuristic psychological thriller with love, hate, revenge lust (I didn't omit a comma by mistake), forgiveness and redemption.
it's a good story, but the author needs more polish for the characters to feel more real and for the the dialog to flow more naturally. The sci-fi elements were believable, and so were the emotions; just more practice to make it all less stilted.
The author of Missing Pieces is missing only a few pieces necessary to make for compelling storytelling. I will want to check out future works To see how it progresses.
